Self-Love Tips For the New Year

It is 2021 already! Ushered in with the year are set goals, new year resolutions, an ever-growing to-do list, and expectations for the months ahead. It is great to strive to be better, to make an impact, and influence everyone around you positively, but you should not forget the important role of self-love. It helps you stay committed to yourself and keeps you inspired all year long.

Self-love is not only about feeling good; it is dynamic. It is a state of appreciation for yourself and accepting your weaknesses as well as your strengths.

If you desire more self-love in 2021, here are important tips to keep in mind:

#1 Be Sincere but Kind to Yourself

There should be a balance between self-reflection and kindness. Befriend yourself this year. Make the most out of the year by being honest with yourself. Identify the areas you need to change and be intentional about creating that change.

#2 Stay Positive

A daily dose of positivity will help you in achieving your set goals. Start each day by telling yourself something beautiful and positive. Pat yourself on the back and do things that will make you smile.

#3 Stop the Comparisons

There is no one like you on this planet. You are different from every other person. So, it is unhealthy to compare yourself with others. The only person that matters is you.

#4 Celebrate Your Wins

Whether big or small, always be proud of what you have achieved in the year. You deserve to be celebrated.

I hope that in 2021 you become more fluent in self-love. I hope that this year, you know your worth like it’s your mother’s tongue.

Don’t Let Other’s Expectations Side Track You From Your 2020 Goals!

Don’t Let Other’s Expectations Side Track You From Your 2020 Goals!

Of course, quitting is always an option but do you want the results that quitting produces (nothing) or the results that being persistent produces (success)? Achieving goals are not a quick process so be persistent and celebrate each step that you are closer to your 2020 goals.

Others always expect you to lose... stats always predict the worst...

This is what others expect from you:

• 75% of people will abandon their 2020 goals by Feb 1st. :/
• 92% won't ever achieve them  :(
• 5.3B people in the world will give up on their goals in the next three weeks and 6.4B people will fail to achieve them in 2020.

But this is what you should expect:

• 100%  win, win, win
• 100% completion
• 110% hard work
• 0% quitter

Steps into WINS with these 3 tips:

#1 Be p o s i t i v e ! Stay focused on the wins, not the setbacks you experience to get there.

“Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing.”
Vince Lombardi

#2 Be prepared! Completion of goals don’t just randomly happen. You have to intentionally plan out an action plan to attack your goals.

“The key is not the will to win… everybody has that.
It is the will to prepare to win that is important.”
Bobby Knight

#3  Be persistent. Winners never quit, they just change up their moves. If something is not working as planned, that’s not a failure. The next smart move is to change up the plan of action.

“I hated every minute of training, but I said,
‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.’”
Muhammad Ali

2020 is the Year of The Go- Getters.
