Uh-oh, Are You the Only One?

Uh-oh, Are You the Only One?

Have you ever heard of “the more the merrier”? Some agree with that notion…especially in regards to mental wellness. In some mental health scenarios, positive support is conductive to your well-being.

Let’s view the benefit of contradicting the only phenomenon. Think about the more, the crowded in a professional setting. And the more there is the less likely you will be to get the promotions, bonuses or vacation time you want. In most cases, saturation is a hindrance.

But when looking at the only through a positive lens, the only can mean unique. Being the only in the workplace can open opportunities you need to the promotion, vacations and bonuses of your dreams. Why? Because you can be the one who possess certain qualities that could possibly land the deal of a lifetime for a corporation. You will stand out because no Fortune 500 company wants ordinary.

Here’s to Boosting Your Only!

1.       Self-esteem
Let setbacks serve as comebacks. When you make a mistake, own it! Then correct it and move forward with the lesson learned. Not many are able to make it through the mistake.
2.       Self-Worth
Let the mistakes of others serve as validation that you are on the right track. Learn from others. Your self-worth lies within how others are fairly compared to you.
3.       Self-Love
Only focus on the only when you are connecting with your inner self. Your true identity is more than outside influences and circumstances. Treat yourself like you are the only one that matters without being selfish and conceited.
