‘Tis the Season for Stress
It’s the holiday
season. ‘Tis the season for stress. Now is the time to think about how to
manage the stressors of spending money, noisy family time and no rest.
Pay attention to the
signs of stress and use some coping strategies to overcome stress.
#1 No rest!
Set boundaries around
your time. Time is precious and you must protect it. Have a schedule. Do
what is priority. The rest of your tasks can wait.
#2 Family! Family! And more Family!
Once again set b o u n
d a r i e s. Delegate time for family. Make sure you delegate your tasks to
others to prevent burnout during family gatherings.
#3 Money does not
fall from the Christmas tree. Really it doesn’t. But if you don’t have a
realistic budget, it will fall from your pockets and bank accounts. Be careful
with your spending. Those bills are still due.
Enjoy your holidays
responsibly. The holiday is once a year but your mental health is 365.
